Dos Quebradas took part in a cupping hosted by Cocentral, a Co-op in Huila that works to bring farmers together by showcasing local farmers’ coffees by publicly rewarding the farmer with a large check to provide incentive for the other farmers to keep working hard to produce high quality coffee.
Cocentral works much like a bank. The green buyer pays the Co-op directly, the Co-op in turn pays a portion to the farmer and pays a portion back into projects to support and improve the coffee growing community.
A small panel of judges cupped through 30 different coffees in two days, this is one of the top coffees from that contest.
